Whale Shark
Seasonal (June–September) · Open ocean · Once in a lifetime

Swimming with the ocean's gentle giant
Every year between June and September, whale sharks — the world's largest fish, reaching up to 12 metres in length — gather in the waters off Isla Holbox and the Yucatán coast to feed on plankton. This seasonal phenomenon is one of the most extraordinary wildlife encounters on the planet.
Our whale shark tour is conducted with strict respect for the animals and the environment. You will snorkel alongside these magnificent, harmless filter-feeders in small groups, guided by an experienced naturalist guide and following the official Mexican Navy regulations for whale shark encounters.
Important: whale sharks cannot be guaranteed, as they are wild animals. However, the sighting rate during peak season (June–August) is very high. This tour operates June–September only.
