The SSI Open Water Instructor certification allows you to teach and certify recreational divers from complete beginner through to the Open Water Diver level and beyond. It is the core teaching qualification in the SSI professional system.
The Instructor Development Course (IDC) is an intensive program that prepares you to deliver safe, effective and inspiring diving education. You will learn how to plan and conduct academic sessions, confined-water training and open-water dives as an SSI instructor.
After completing the IDC you will sit the SSI Instructor Examination (IE), conducted by an SSI Training Director.
